The Adriano Olivetti National Award, promoted by the Adriano Olivetti Foundation and the Cosenza Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Unioncamere, recognises projects that combine innovation, social commitment and territorial development, in line with Olivetti’s vision of the company as an engine of collective progress.
In this context, Chiesi nominated “Circularity”, the initiative carried out together with CSV Emilia that applies the principles of the circular economy to the urban regeneration of the historic site in Via Palermo. The project, which was completed in the summer of 2024, transformed the handling of over 2,300 pieces of furniture destined for disposal into an opportunity for reuse, solidarity and the creation of shared value: from donations to citizens, schools and third sector associations, to the direct involvement of Chiesi employees through an internal marketplace, with immediate environmental and social benefits for the community.
During the ceremony held in Rome at the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, in the presence of Minister Urso, Chiesi received a plaque, an important recognition of the company’s commitment to developing concrete and replicable models of circular economy.
This recognition represents a significant milestone in the development of Chiesi Gardens, the major urban regeneration project that will revitalise the site in Via Palermo. A path that also confirms Chiesi’s desire to continue to act as a company that is sensitive to sustainability and driven by the principle of shared value, generating a positive impact for people, the city and the region.
