A corporate initiative with public purpose, Chiesi Gardens is a third place that pushes the boundaries of how private and civic communities interact in both in and outdoors.
Architect studios 51N4E and TEN redevelopment of Chiesi’s heritage site in Parma’s San Leonardo neighborhood, Chiesi Gardens seeks to regenerate the site — with a broader impact on the surrounding area — through a collaborative process that brings together the local community and a number of international partners.
A dense ecosystem of indoor and outdoor spaces, a balanced mix of programs and initiatives, where work and leisure cohabit, envisions new ways of working and of engaging with one another. This is a place where innovation coexists with the day-to-day.
At Chiesi Gardens, energy moves both ways — restored or amplified — redefining how we act individually, and how we live together.
Driven by a crowdsourcing approach, Chiesi Gardens is the outcome of a long journey shaped by a shared dynamic.
Over time, hundreds of people, from Chiesi employees to external professionals, have contributed their unique perspectives and skills to the transformation of the company area located in Via Palermo—from a closed site into an open and inclusive ecosystem.
This interdisciplinary and ongoing program is now brought to life through the value-driven, resilient design of 51N4E and TEN and the construction solutions of ESA engineering, the three international studios committed to infusing new ideas, energy and tangible answers into the Chiesi Group regeneration project.
